Johns post about the Wixey on sale made me think of another tool I use that compliments the Wixey perfectly. It's called a Miterset. So easy to use a cave man do it.

Take a look here.

Miterset

For you turners, there's one for segments, too.

That's pretty cool Gene. I don't think I have seen that one before.

I have an Osborne EB-3 I use on the table saw. It has the degrees marked on the shaft with positive stops at all of the critical angles.

But I can still see a lot of uses for that one.

Thanks

I really need to get a miter setup like this. My old stock miter gauge has a lot to be desired. Great link Gene, thanks.

Well guys, I bought both the standard and the segment Miterset when he first brought them out for the ShopSmith. At the time, all I had was the stock gauge. Small and inaccurate and a cheesy locking mechanism. The Miterset was a godsend. Then I got a Kreg gauge and it's just the bee's knees for accuracy and utility. Now, I use the Miterset to verify and reset the Kreg, as it does get banged around a little. So far, the Kreg has been right on, though.
