A gal at work ordered a business card holder for her husband for Valentine's Day.  Seems they own a 1935 Ford they plan to restore.  I found a public domain picture of the vehicle and my original thought was to use only the silhouette of the vehicle and to cut out the windows. After cutting that out, I decided the vehicle needed more details.   On my second attempt, I printed the picture of the vehicle on photo paper and glued it to the back piece of the business card holder.  I scrolled the outline of the vehicle and the windows.  I used a protective "spray" clear coat on the photo. Wood is walnut.

I did however forget to take a final picture of the finished product, so here is an unfinished view of the holder held together with a rubber band.  :(   I have an email to the recipient and if she sends a picture I will post it.

This same person has ordered another business card holder of another vehicle they own which is a 1952 Chevy truck.

Thanks for taking a look.

Very nice! Make sure to show us the truck when your done.

Thanks everyone for taking a look and for all the kind words.  It was a fun little project.  The recipient did respond to my email and will send a picture after her husband opens his gift on Valentine's Day.  I will post it here when I receive it.

Boy do I have a bad habit of making things and sending them out the door without taking any pictures of the final products.   Seems a little improvement in this area might be warranted.

As promised here is the picture of the final product the customer was nice enough to send me.  Before this went out the door, customer decided she wanted her husband's initials on the front of the holder.  Initials RR were added before delivery.
