We have been in some serious negotiations with Charles Nicholls. We offered him the job as our General Site Host! And after much prodding he has accepted our invite to be the Site Host for The Patriot Woodworker!
Congratulations Charles, we are so happy you have jumped in the ring with us and I know you'll do a great job.
We approached Charles because he is the guy who is here darn near 24/7. He loves to interact with folks, Charles is very helpful when he can be, and he believes in The Patriot Woodworker and all it stands for, as do many of our members.
Charles hails from the great state of Arkansas and is a die hard, fanatical turner of pens and other turnable objects. He owns a Penn State Ind lathe and since he has been with us, he has grown by leaps and bounds in his turning. Charles is quick to jump in and give his advice, and his presence here made this choice appointment an easy decision for us.
Charles will be the the official "Greeting Party" for new members, as they come aboard they will most likely be seeing his cheery smile first! Amongst other duties Charles has volunteered for, he will be keeping an eye out for folks having issues posting content, linking items, and moving discussions to their proper location if they are inadvertently posted in the wrong forum. Charles will also be the gate keeper. Every now and then, we have the spammer, the filth of the web. And they aren't going to last long with Charles at the gate of TPW. All in all, Charles will be the site guy.
So with that, I'd like to give Charles a hearty pat on the back, and thank you Charles for stepping up to the plate in this new capacity and for your help in keeping our site safe and clean. Thank you sir!!

Welcome aboard the TWP site hosting Charles! Great to have you!

Thanks all, It really was an easy decision to be the forum host. Since I live alone with my cat and don't get to get out much I get rather bored just sitting around so lathe work and this forum and being able to spend more time with it was an easy choice indeed. I did make John sweat a bit (maybe all of 5 seconds before saying yes :)
It gives me a bit more to do. Just think of me as the Wal mart Greeter of TPW lol. Let me know if i can be of any assistance to anyone.
I need to get off here for the night i have some early doc appts in the morning.
