Hello everyone! I am from the beautiful state of Wisconsin. I am married to a wonderful man, Which is also part of the Patriot Woodworker as I am and we have two beautiful children. I stumbled upon this site by meeting a very wonderful man, John Morris. I was adding woodworkers to my page and he accepted my friend request. I then found out what a wonderful site he created for woodworkers...but found out it is also for veterans and active duty soldiers. Being I came from a bit of a back ground with my Dad being a vet and my husband, I found this very heart warming. I have always been one to support the vets and active duty soldiers my whole life. Then I also started an interest in woodworking. My husband has been into woodworking since he was a kid. So I looked into it and the one thing that peeked my interest was Intarsia and fretwork. I have fallen in love with the scroll saw! The only trouble is trying to get time in to do it since I have limited time due to my children. We also do not have much to start with but we are trying with what we have :-)

I am a big fan of Tj Brown...He has amazed me from the start of my adventure. He truly does some beautiful work!  I have also come accross many friendly people in the woodworking field and am enjoying meeting everyone and seeing all the beautiful craftsmanship of each and everyone. So many willing to help if I have questions and so many that just make me feel like I have known them for a long time. I cherish each and every one of my friendships :-)

I use to be a cosmetologist till my kids were born..then I became a home mommy. My son is going to be 4yrs old and my daughter is going to be 9months old. They are my world and they will always come first before anything.

So any help or advice for a beginner will be greatly appreciated :-) To all the veterans and active duty Soldiers I THANK YOU  for everything you have done for our country and the people of this country! Blessings and hugs to all!

Thanks for that wonderful introduction Pauline. This is a wonderful site John started and what a joy it is to come here everyday to share and spend time with other woodworkers. We are so excited that you all have found it and thanks for making it a regular stop each day. I hope you enjoy it and find much help here.

As I have said many times Pauline, we are on the receiving end of this deal, it's great to have you and your husband here. We love you guys and it's just really great you guys found us and decided to join up. As you have noticed we are a woodworking site with a cause, a just cause at that. Yes we are woodworkers, but our common cause is bound by our never ending almost fanatical support for our men and women who stand post and protect us and our freedoms we tend to take for granted every day. Our main membership consists of not veterans or active duty believe it or not, but plain ol Americans like us who love woodworking and love our troops for all they do for us. The reason why we exist in the first place, to support our troops. If not for that motivation, we would never have seen the light of day with The Patriot Woodworker website for woodworkers.

Thanks Pauline once again and that was a really nice introduction. Hey I didn't know Russ was a vet too!
