John,
If you buy the Aerogarden seed packs, yes they are guaranteed to grown. But leaf lettuce for example is so easy to grow you can save yourself the expense and buy your own seeds which is more economical. I buy the aerogardens nutrients by the quart, and grow sponges in bulk which hold the seeds. This way I can plant anything I want - whenever I want.
A wonderful place which has a great selection of determinate tomato seeds is: http://www.swallowtailgardenseeds.com/veggies/cherry.html . For these machines you want to use determinate tomato seeds that produce plants that are short and compact. Indeterminate seeds grow entirely too tall for these machines. You can even buy strawberry seeds from swallowtail which would be ideal for these machines. I plan to order some strawberry seeds soon and give these a try.

So is it guaranteed to grow them? The only way I get a green thumb is with paint!
Pretty neat. Now I am ready for lunch.

It it can't be fixed with glue and sawdust - it's not worth fixing.

Thanks for the directions Sue!

You can go to www.aerogarden.com and check out the different machines. The 3 pod is on sale right now for under $50.00. I bought my first machine (the one pictured) from aerogardens and picked up three more from craigslist for almost nothing. They are expensive if you buy retail. I have lemon cucumbers growing in my 3 pod right now. We have leaf lettuce and tomatoes year round. :) You can buy their seed packs or buy your own seeds, which is what I do.
