looks great. I find that pine is harder to cut and keep control myself. the grain is so big easy to get off line. Considering that and that its your first I say AMAZING.  hope you post a pic of the final piece

Like my Dad always told me--I'm my own worse critic!!

Looks good.

I just wish I had the time to get busy and try doing something like this!

Pauline, it looks great for a first attempt, shoot even after several years of scrolling I still screw pieces up beyond repair.

Looks good to me. I'll agree with Greg. Been scrolling for a good while and still make mistakes. The important thing it be patient and don't rush through it. I have several plans I have been trying to upload that are basic training patterns and work really well for gaining confidence and control. As well as a chart for blades choices and definitions. I'll get it worked out, SO far it look like you are off to a great start, keep posting your progress and enjoy the hobby of scrolling.

God bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.

I been scroll sawing on and off for about 10 yrs.  Most do fret work and as gifts.  I had trouble staying near or on the line. foe a few yrs and I still do if i have not done any scroll sawing a while.  I'll have to admit yours looks better than my first one.

Looks real good to me Pauline,

I'll have to find that pattern, it looks like a good challange.

I've been out of woodworking for so long now that I'll be hard pressed to do that good once I get going again.

But seeing this makes me want to get the shop, and machines done yesterday! (Wishfull thinking)

TY John, I am always that way...Perfectionist...I know bad thing to be...But my daddy was one and instilled it into me :-)
