On the advice of John Morris, I am thinking about selling a few old Stanley Bailey bench planes but I wasnt sure if anyone would be interested. I have quite a few and more hand planes than anyone could possibly need. They are good user planes although they will need some tuning up to work right as I have not used them in years. I have a #4 smoother that I used the most and is in the best shape. A LN #4 and #3 retired it for good. A #5 jack with a broken handle but still very usable. A #3 with a corrugated base. A standard angle block that I havent seen for years but know I have (maybe a 9
1/2?). And I also have a #100 squirell tail that was given to me long, long ago. If anyone is interested, I will post pics. All proceeds will go to The Patriot Woodworker. They could easily be great user planes with a little work. I will not set prices as all profitts will go to this site. If anyone is interested in restoring a classic, let me know. I am sure I can dig out many others. If there is something you are looking for, shoot me a message. I might have it. I have been doing this for a loooong time. Too many tools..... Thanks again, John.

I am not very good with computers but here are some pics. One of these is an old #7 that I didnt know I still had. The blade was quite sharp but the bottom has a few pits and needs some work. If anyone is interested leave me a comment or message and we can work out a price. Remember, all proceedes go to this site. Tags:

This is a very generous offer. I agree pictures would help as would having some sort of price range you wish to get for them.

Heck of a nice offer Adam. You might want to put a price on them to give people a chance to buy them. Not sure how you are wanting to sell them. If somebody says they will give you 10$ for all of them, would you sell them? Might get much more by saying you want X amount for them. Just trying to help. Pictures would be helpful too.

Ron,
I will post pic tomorrow morning. These are among the first planes I ever owned and are quite old and out of tune. I am not sure what to ask but I will work something out. Thanks for the comment and have a look tomorrow morning.

I agree with Bob. Could you throw some photos up along with some prices? Never can tell, I may be interested.

Adam, that is very cool. Thank you for your support, as usual I am humbled by the support we receive from our members here, we do some great things on this site Adam, we are non profit, not a single dime goes into our pockets, anything we earn, goes to pay our hosting dues, and we donate to The Wounded Warrior Project. We also use any proceeds we gain to pay for the shipping of the Military Challenge Coin Displays we make for our wounded troops laid up at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital, and our latest shipment scheduled to go out shortly, is going to Bethesda Naval Hospital for the Marines and Sailors. That's we do Adam, this site is for woodworkers to come and share, and to make a difference in a service members life.
So, when you come aboard, and post an offer such as you did to sell some good planes for the benefit of our site, you embody the philosophy of what we are all about. Since you indicated you want the proceeds to go to our site then I assure you, the proceeds of your sells, will be put to good use, they will be used to either help pay our hosting dues, or help pay for the shipping of our coin displays to our troops. Thanks again Adam, thanks for being here, and I am glad we have another hand tool junky with us. I might even have to revive the hand tool forum now!

John,
I posted pics of a few planes today. I am not the greatest with compiters but I think I did ok. If only these things were as easy to use as bandsaw... Anyway, anything I can do to help out a fellow woodworker (who doesnt mind tuning up old planes).
