I've gone about as for into this re-hab as I care to go.    Some things can wait til a warmer weather stays around.   Anywhooo, here is a "Family Portrait" of the four amigos:handle views, that is "Ol'Red"   on the left.and the "Front Porch" view.     I might at some point, switch the #33's handles with the Ol'Red's, seeings how they are the same size.   Left to right:  Stanley #110 Block plane,  HF #33 Bench Plane,  Stanley/Defiance #3  (post WWII), and Great Neck No. 1 ( about the size of a #4 Stanley)

They are shown sitting on a tray made of Black Cherry, with White Oak trim/handles.    Suitable for "framing"?

The Great Neck one has a new Buck Brothers iron on board.     This iron is a bit too wide for the Defiance #3, or else there would have been two $3 blades bought.    Still have the "original" blade from the GN, might get a camder job to it, for use as a scrub plane.     The Defiance (Stanley) will make a nice smoother.      The #33 will also do a decent job of a smoother.    It will also see duty with glue joint leveling, as well.   Besides these four, I also have a #129 Fore plane, about 20":long.    That "bottle cap" #110 will be a user, doing "Yeoman work" and some smooth work as well.  Just a nice, small stable....

They look great. I am sure you will get great enjoyment using them. I am truly envious.

No greater Loves than God, Family, Friends, country, the sight of flying chips and the smell of saw dust.

A few "Money Shots" of these planes in action.   Used a stick of old barn wood to test drive each of the re-habbed planes on:Stanley/Defiance #3This used to be Ol'Red, now with a nice coat of black and chromeStanley #110 block plane.    And a shot of the new kid on the block, HF #33
