A local buddy of mine just received shipment of his shaper! He sent me these pics and man what a piece of machinery! Rob runs Tule Peak Timber and he builds architecural pieces ranging from windows, mantels, doors and beams, check out his site. And he owns a sawmill, or I should say a mill. I have been up to his place a couple times now and I have always been on the receiving end of the visit, he is a class act and his work is like no other.
See below his comments on his new machine and some pics. Thanks for sharing with us Rob!
"Just a couple pics. An SCMI Tf 130 class. 9 HP , swings up to 14 inch
diameter cutter head ! A footprint of 6 x 10 feet and 2000 pounds plus.
It is set up primarily as a tenoning shaper , to do large radius work ,
and box beam parts. The cutter heads arrive next month from Italy. It is
a stock design built up for me to do custom architectural millwork."
Thanks again Rob for sharing this spectacular piece of machinery, I hope it does everything you want it too! I am sure it will, you don't go into this half cocked I know! You knew exactly what you were buying. Can't wait to see what you produce from this.

Now that is one nice piece of equipment. Don't think it would fit in my shop.

I know it won't fit in my shop!
I guess I'll have to stick with my "old tool toys" compared to this machines size they really look like toys.
Heck the table on my shaper isn't much bigger than this machines cutter head!
