I needed to spray a small job last week and I don't have a seperate area to paint in. Usually I clean the shop and wait a day for the dust to drop before I paint but I was in a time crunch. Here's what I did. I picked up an old 6 foot golf umbrella at an auction last summer so I papered my assembly table and lacquer sprayed the item I was working on and opened the umbrella and covered the ite,. The umbrella blocked any settling airborne dust but let the air circulate.

Neat trick.
I struggled with dust for years. Finally I found the solution:
General Finishes Enduro Pre Cat 181. Cures up dust proof in mere moments. Plus it's a beautiful tough as nails finish.
