Hi all. I just finished making a box joint jig. As I use it each joint that I cut gets a little bit smaller than the one before it. Can't seem to figure out why. Any ideas. As I cut each joint I move…Continue

Router bits

Hi guys, finished my router table. I am ready to buy a few bits. Can anyone suggest a brand. I am not interested in buying the cheapest or the most expensive. I have learned to buy quality and you don't have to rebut later. Any suggestions.I am looking for a 45 degree chamfer bit. I have noticed they make them in several different sizes. I need to chamfer a 3/4" board. Why would you buy a 3/8 versus a 3/4" bit?ThanksDanSee More

Planer vs. Jointer

I am thinking of adding a new piece of equipment to my shop. Torn between a planer and a jointer. Can't afford both right now. Which would be more beneficial right now with me being a newbie to woodworking. Would also like suggestions as to which model to purchase.ThanksDanSee More

Bosch 4100 Fence Alignment

Hi guys, I read the manual on my new saw to make all the adjustments before starting to use it. I have found that the fence is not perpendicular to the table top. There is no mention of it in the manual and I can see no way to adjust it. Has anyone else had this problem with this saw. I have an email into Bosch service center but that may take several days to get an answer.ThanksDanSee More

Two requests

I would like to make two new requests. You guys have been so helpful, I am 60 years old and feel like a kid learning all over again. I picked up one of my new planes tonight and tried to use it. I soon found out I did not even know how to set it up. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to set up a plane, adjusting the blade, etc. Also, my goal in the near future is to make me a new computer desk. Before I ruin a bunch of expensive wood could anyone suggest some small projects made…See More

Crosscut sled plans

Well, I finished my first project with my new Bosch table saw this weekend. It was a pyramid type trellis for my wife. Thought I would try to finish it for Mothers Day. She loved it. During the process though I came to realize I need a crosscut sled. It would have gone much faster if I would have had one. I thought I had a set of plans for building one but I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone have a set of plans for a crosscut sled they would care to share with me.ThanksDanSee More
