Got started early today. I am in Molly Winton session this morning. This session is on introduction to surface enhancements. She also does a great job on sharing how to market and sell the products you make. I'll add the pictures later tonight.

Today was an exciting day at the symposium. It started as an early day as we got up at 4:00 am and left Florence about 5:30. We arrived in Nashville at the Raddison around 8:00 am and the first session started at 8:30.
There are around 200+ woodturners present. I have no idea how that relates to past attendance, but it seems to be a good turnout.

Well it has been a while since I update you on the cedar chest. Couple of things got in the way and had to wait unitl I could get back at it.
The chest is together and glued up and I got the bottom pieces put on tonight.
One more trim piece around the bottom and then the final sanding on all of the pieces. Will order the hinges this weekend and put them on first of next week and then it is finish time.…

Okay well you asked for it and now you will get it. Here is the way I assemble an end grain cutting board. Lots of pictures so hopefully it will make it easy for you.
First I pick out a pattern I want to use and then decide on the wood I want to use with that partciular pattern. I will be doing two board in this blog.
So I plane the lumber so everything is the same size and then cut it into the sizes needed for the cutting board pattern.…
