You won't find this wood in any store that I know of. It is a South Florida scrub tree. Not only is it good for turning (if you can find pieces large enough) but its chips make for a great BBQ flavor.

16-32 drum sander

I got this new 16-32 drum sander about 2 months ago and have gone through a batch of sanding strips not to mention a batch of messed up wood that was burned. Read different blogs and a lot of people seem to have the same problem.

The most common solution mentioned seems to be that instead of turning the crank a full, half, or even a quarter turn, that you should turn it 1/8th turn and speed up the belt. Did all of this and still got burn wood.
