Hi,
I am a new member to The Patriot Woodworker and this is my first post. I thought I would add to this blog by giving something away. I have written a plugin for SketchUp that calculates the movement of wood due to seasonal changes and by region of the country for various species. The first major revision, Wood Expansion Calculator 1.0 is available and now supports Metric dimensions. As mentioned, it is a free tool and can be downloaded at http://www.srww.com/downloads/wood_expansion_calculator_rev_1.0.zip .
I first wrote about this tool in June (see http://www.srww.com/blog/?p=1223) and explained its use. I again posted a blog announcing the release of Revision 1.0 (see http://www.srww.com/blog/?p=1259) and explaining the changes to this release.
Check it out. If you have trouble or don’t know how to install it in SketchUp, contact me at jpz@srww.com .
